I was extremely impressed with Photoshop Elements 13’s Portrait feature. It is my personal belief that every digital photographer must learn how to use this feature even if it is for just one time, because the portrait feature is so easy to use.
I feel that is important to note that Photoshop Elements is not a substitute for Photoshop. It is its own tool, and it acts as a supplement to and not a replacement for Photoshop Elements 13. Photoshop Elements is just one of many tools we can use in our work. It is much more difficult to decide which tool will make the best choice in a given situation.

In terms of professional-grade editing tools, though, Elements is missing a few key features. Two of the main ones are the lack of a Content Aware Fill tool and the removal of in-painting. There isn’t a content-aware fill capability in Elements. There was in CS6 and is still in CS6-r, but the company has removed it.
