A Walk to Remember, again based on one of the famous Nicholas Sparks novels, is a 2007 American drama film written and directed by James L. Brooks. It is a remake of the 1998 film of the same name. Principal casting includes Amanda Sundstrom as Cammie, Michelle Krantz as Amber, Griffin Dunne as Luke, and Ashley Judd as his mother.
Cameron (Ashley Judd) is a widowed working mother and a high school English teacher. She is asked by her minister (Lance Henriksen) to lead a group of teenagers on a monthly “walk to remember” from a school near her home. While walking home from the last meeting, she is involved in a car accident with a drunk driver and severely injured. With only a few months to live, Cameron is visited by Colin (Shane West), a young, impulsive and handsome college student who is a close childhood friend.
Colin begins to help Cameron with small, do-it-yourself tasks that she finds challenging, and, with her deteriorating condition, she begins to open her heart to him. However, they are both pulled, by their past, into a tight emotional and sexual relationship. Amber (Michelle Krantz) and Luke (Griffin Dunne) are the couple in her group and Amber’s high school boyfriend.
It has a polite story who loves life, makes you laugh and makes you cry, and Brad Pitt makes a cameo appearance playing a high-sovereign prince.
A Walk to Remember was released on January 25, 2002.

I have always been a fan of the writing of the author Nicholas Sparks. I find it very heartfelt and honest. When it comes to the book A Walk to Remember, it was good with a heartfelt ending and characters and the story did touch me, but some of dialogue was occasionally lazy and repetitive for my liking.The movie is a decent one. It does try to stick to the spirit of the book even if one or two of the details aren’t as coherent, and it mostly succeeds.
