Like most other software producers, Adobe is not very good at protecting their product. They use fairly weak code to protect their product, so that if you do manage to crack it, it can only be done by getting a valid serial number. If you do manage to crack the Adobe Photoshop software, you’ll be able to have a copy for nothing. However, cracking software is illegal, and you could get into trouble. So, use it at your own risk. If you take full responsibility for your actions, you can use it to make money.
I noticed most of the updates were about proprietary stuff. My guess is that it’s those new lenses and lenses that work for Fuji X-Trans, but I’m not sure. I’ll be checking out those lenses in a couple of days and will update this article if I find anything.
The only real-world thing I experienced with is the addition of key-structure capabilities, such as «Stitching», «Frame & Bracket», and «Frame & Bracket + Stitching». I don’t consider these important. They do yield great results, however, especially when using Nik’s dFine.
I don’t think it’s a good idea for a software company to promise that it will come with updates for the next 5 years, but I don’t think all of these updates were necessary. I’m more than happy paying the $49 to buy Photoshop. Adobe, do you really think $49 extra every year to pay for your Photoshop upgrades is justified? I think not. I do think, however, that this site is unnecessary. Adobe doesn’t need to constantly update Lightroom. It has a captive user base. Such software updates could be more efficiently delivered via Lightroom’s inbuilt web browser.
You are the one who mentioned that Lightroom won’t work with an iPhone. I’m not sure what the problem is. I was able to add images, sync using AirPrint, and browse all of my images from my iPad. Worked perfectly.
