Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a solid program with an immense amount of power. It’s fast and capable, not to mention, it gives you great control over your images. But if you shop around for something with less in the way of features, but more in the way of simplicity, Apple’s Aperture may be the choice for you. It offers similar editing controls to Photoshop, but the desktop-style interface is a big help. It’s also really easy to transition to, so you won’t feel left out even if you aren’t already an Adobe Creative Suite user.
The usual format for my review is to examine the program in a series of categories. Each and every category discussed is designed to be examined in its own article on this site, and it really can’t compare to the level of detail contained in the original Adobe Photoshop Lightroom review .
For example, I would rather here the finest details about Aperture’s workflow and organizational features, but we can’t do that here because the guest writer has already done it almost better than they could. I would just like to use this opportunity to say that I’ve enjoyed getting acquainted with Apple’s Aperture and am pleased to report that it works well, even when compared to Photoshop.
