He told his staff in Juneau about the affair weeks ago, she said. At one earlier meeting he told her he had an affair with a woman who was also a former employee. He said that was «repulsive to him,» the woman’s daughter and his own son.

Many of the women have been victims of abuse by pastors, priests, or other men in leadership roles within their churches, and sometimes those women have looked to institutions like Women For Women as a safe place.
